Beyond expectations - 5-star service with perfect location. The hotel is in the historic centre of Catania - 5 minutes walk to the Duomo, but at the same time it is located in a quiet and clean street. Surrounded by great restaurants. It is 15 minutes walking to the bus station to Taormina and other cities. The staff provided excellent service - fast check-in and check-out, information about the city. We arrived late in the evening but they served us excellent Sicily wine on the top floor terrace. The terrace was our favourite place - 4th floor open air terrace surrounded by olive trees flower pots overlooking the adjacent old buildings. Very charming place. They also served drinks in the evenings upon request. The room we had was very comfortable and spacious, newly renovated. Highly recommend this hotel.

We had a short stay in Catania; Hotel Manganelli is in the perfect location for sightseeing if you don't have much time. The building doesn't look wonderful from the outside but as they say don't judge book by it's cover. It's not luxurious but perfectly good & comfortable place to base yourself. Lovely to have breakfast on rooftop; breakfast options were good. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful ; even helping to looking for exploring options for spaces on a trip to Etna for us also! We upgraded to room with balcony - it was spacious & toilet lovely but the balcony was really just a 'Juliet balcony' & not enough space to sit on it. But enjoyed the view of the area/road outside; you could hear traffic but didn't really bother us, wasn't excessive. It had fabulous big wooden shutters on the window too.

The palace is very well located. (3&4 th floors of a beautiful building) . The elevator worked well. My room 136 was very calm with a view on a garden, and spacious. The bathroom was big and clean ( no window). The sheets and the room was clean. There was a strong AC in the room, The staff ( night shift and day shift) was EXTREMELY professional, kind, helpful, spoke English, ... we had to leave at 4:00 AM, they ordered a taxi for us, kindly prepared us coffee...the price is fair. The towels were clean, the shower worked very well ( pressure, hot, etc...) Soap and liquid soap available for the clients . Very nice entrance, lobby...the furniture in the room was " antic" style. The bed was amazing! King size and very comfy

Very friendly and helpful staff, with our special thanks to Sonia and her initial welcome and help. Nice breakfast, that can be enjoyed on the terrace with view to the smoking Etna volcano, and with excellent on demand expresso. Hotel located very close to the heart of Catania and most of the sights (next to Via Etnea) made walking to the must sees easy. Having a bookable interior parking spot in the yard was perfect, as parking in Catania is hard. The rooms were nice, renovated, with a good size, very confortable beds, nice A/C and a computer sized safe. The bathroom was also large and modern. Also enjoyable is the fact that the hotel is in the upper floors of an historical palazzo.

The hotel is located in the historic center of Catania, five minutes away from Piazza del Domo. Although central, and with lots of bars and restaurants nearby, it’s also in quiet area, with very little traffic noise. The breakfast is fresh and tasty, beautiful presented, and weather permitting, served on the generous roof terrace with views overlooking the city. The breakfast staff and the receptionists are all very friendly and polite. The hotel, including our room was very clean.
